Environmental Project Engineer

Location

Ann Arbor, MI

Responsibilities
  • Provide engineering support for a variety of projects involving site remediation, contaminated sediment assessment, stormwater management, hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, surface water quality assessment, wastewater discharge evaluation & permitting.
  • Manage small to medium environmental projects in a variety of areas including soil and groundwater investigation and remediation; environmental due diligence; environmental compliance (SPCC Plans, stormwater management, RCRA, NPDES); and water resources management.
  • Work involves a blend of project management, modeling, engineering analysis and design, technical research, report writing, and fieldwork.
Qualifications
  • MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering or BS in Civil/Environmental Engineering with substantial upper level/graduate coursework
  • 4 to 6 years experience in environmental consulting
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • Demonstrated project management experience and ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives
  • Demonstrated consulting work experience in some, if not all of the areas described above
  • Motivated and enthusiastic
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed, mainly within the U.S.
  • Legally able to work in the U.S. (proper identification required)

Environmental Engineer/Scientist I or II

Location

Ann Arbor, MI

Responsibilities
  • Provide support for a variety of projects in the following areas:
    1. Water quality modeling and watershed assessments
    2. Sediment quality assessment
    3. Contaminant fate and transport
    4. Hydraulic/hydrologic modeling and evaluations
  • Initial tasks may include computer programming, data management and analysis, model development and output evaluation, and presentation of results.

Qualifications
  • MSE or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related scientific discipline from an accredited university program is required
  • Training and/or experience in water quality modeling and/or hydraulics are highly desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong analytical and computational ability required
  • Motivated and enthusiastic team member with good interpersonal skills
  • Legal ability to work in the United States (proper identification required)

Project Manager - Contaminated Sediments

Location

Ann Arbor, MI; Washington, DC

Responsibilities
  • Manage clients (including industrial clients, engineering firms, attorneys, regulatory agencies) and staff while working on projects in the contaminated sediments area, including site characterization, remedial investigation, numerical modeling, and remedy evaluation and design.
  • Assist in growing LimnoTech's services for management of contaminated sediment sites, building on and expanding our client base in the industrial, regulatory, and municipal arenas.
  • Provide technical expertise in the arena of contaminated sediments through activities such as presenting at regional and national conferences, publishing papers, and serving on state, regional, or national committees.
Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • At least five years of demonstrated project management experience and ability to mange people, multiple tasks, and objectives.
  • An advanced degree(s) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the contaminated sediments technical area, the body of sediment regulations, and the role of site characterization, monitoring and modeling in support of contaminated sediments remedy design and decision-making.
  • Demonstrated, successful consulting work experience in related project areas.

Project Manager - Wet Weather

Location

Ann Arbor, MI; Washington, DC

Responsibilities
  • Manage clients (including municipalities, A/E firms, attorneys, regulatory agencies) and staff while working on projects that require expertise in assessing the magnitude of wet weather discharges and impacts on watersheds and water quality, and developing solutions that meet Clean Water Act requirements (e.g., CSO Policy, TMDLs, NPDES permits).
  • Assist in growing LimnoTech's services for management of wet weather pollutant sources, including combined sewer overflows (CSOs), sanitary sewer overflows (SSOs), stormwater and peak excess flows at municipal wastewater treatment plants.
  • Provide technical expertise in the arena of wet weather pollutant sources and the Clean Water Act through activities such as presenting at regional and national conferences, publishing papers, and serving on state, regional, or national committees.
Qualifications

  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills.
  • At least five years of demonstrated project management experience and ability to mange people, multiple tasks, and objectives.
  • An advanced degree(s) is preferred.
