Brad Udvardy, PESenior Environmental Engineer

Brad Udvardy is a Senior Environmental Engineer with LimnoTech’s office in Washington, DC. He is a hydrologic and hydraulic modeler with 26 years of experience developing, calibrating, and applying collection system models using DHI’s MIKE Urban platform, Innovyze’s InfoWorks ICM modeling software, and EPA’s Stormwater Management Model (SWMM). His participation in various aspects of modeling consists of rainfall analysis, model calibration, neighborhood-level flooding and basement backup evaluations, green infrastructure modeling, peak flow analysis, flow allocation, pipe rehabilitation, flow source tracking, capacity assurance studies, and transient analysis. He has also applied hydrodynamic models to assess bacteria loads in CSO communities’ receiving waters.

Brad has managed multiple large-scale modeling efforts involving urban flooding studies, the development of ‘all-pipes’ collection system models for combined/sanitary systems, and design support for CSO storage and conveyance tunnels. He has also managed several green infrastructure assessment projects, which included practice-level model development and calibration, the design and implementation of practice-level monitoring, the evaluation of practice rehabilitation efficacy, and the quantification of the effects of green infrastructure on groundwater recharge. He has helped design and implement several stream assessment programs, developed training materials and staff evaluation metrics, and has helped transition stream assessment data to an enterprise database that integrates with cloud-based data collection tools.

Brad works at LimnoTech’s Mid-Atlantic Regional Office in Washington, DC.
