Matthew Jansen
Matthew Jansen joined LimnoTech in May 2026 as an Environmental Scientist. Matthew holds a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science and Technology from the University of Maryland, College Park. He later earned a Master of Science in Environment and Sustainability Management from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. His graduate program integrated environmental science and business strategy, enabling him to build expertise in quantifying environmental impact metrics and evaluating corporate sustainability initiatives while developing technical skills in R statistical computing. Matthew brings significant international experience from his internships in Sri Lanka, where he analyzed climate policy and mapped high-conservation-value forests for the United Nations Development Program, and evaluated local mangrove and forest restoration progress for Biodiversity Sri Lanka. At LimnoTech, Matthew primarily supports projects related to corporate water stewardship and volumetric water benefit accounting (VWBA).
