We have conference news! LimnoTech’s Tad Slawecki will be at WEFTEC 2022 (the Water Environment Federation’s 95th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference) in New Orleans. Known as the largest annual water quality exhibition in the world, the conference brings together speakers and exhibitors from around the world who will share their expertise and experience on a range of water and wastewater issues and solutions, including key topics such as collection systems, regulations, stormwater, water reuse/recycling, and water quality and watershed management.

Tad will be participating in a few key activities while at the conference.

Tad is a Steering Committee member and a judge for the 2022 Intelligent Water Systems Challenge (IWS Challenge).

The IWS Challenge gives students, professionals, and technology aficionados the opportunity to showcase their talents and innovation, with a focus on leveraging data using the best available tools to help utilities better understand the dynamics of complex systems and make better decisions.

Tad will be one of the judges for the final pitch, where three teams will present their ideas to a panel of judges in an attempt to win a grand prize of $10,000. Join Tad, the rest of the judging panel, and the teams at the WEFTEC Innovation Pavilion on Monday, October 10 at 11 am (CT) to see the presentations and find out who wins!!

On Monday, October 10, from 3:30-5 pm (CT) in Room 344, Tad will also serve as a Lead Facilitator for Session 90, “Uptake your Nutrients!” In this session, several case studies will be shared demonstrating the successful use of adaptive management approaches to address nutrient impairment in watersheds.
