Roxana Lagunas

Roxana Lagunas joined LimnoTech in June 2025 as an Environmental Scientist following completion of her Master’s degree in Water Resources Management from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth Science with a focus on Geohydrology. In addition to academic research investigating hydrogeologic characteristics of global aquifers, she has extensive field experience collecting water quality data from streams and lakes. As part of Roxana’s research contributions, she worked closely with local non-profits and government agencies to understand the policies surrounding sediment management activities and recommend alternatives that consider long-term impacts to local watersheds and beaches.

Through her previous work at the USGS, Roxana gained experience maintaining real-time hydrologic data through the NWIS portal. As a master’s student, she gained an interest in how environmental data are used for decision-making and climate adaptation planning. Her work has spanned the areas of hydrogeology, water quality, environmental justice, and environmental data analysis.
