Amanda Flynn serves a dual role as a Marketing Manager and an Environmental Scientist. She oversees company branding and messaging, develops marketing materials, supports business development efforts, and guides proposal processes and workflows. Amanda is responsible for managing the LimnoTech website and social media accounts. Her work includes technical writing, copywriting, and content marketing, and she develops content and creates design layouts for web articles, newsletters, fact sheets, and informational poster displays. Amanda has served as a lead graphic designer for visual content created for science and marketing applications, including conceptual site models, figures, schematics, illustrations, infographics, posters, icons, logos, and advertisements.
Amanda’s environmental science work has focused on corporate watershed stewardship initiatives, including quantifying water quantity and quality benefits of watershed restoration activities; performing water risk assessments for agricultural products; developing water stewardship plans; reviewing and evaluating sustainable agriculture certifications and standards, and stakeholder mapping. She also contributes to the development of decision support and science communication tools on various platforms (website, desktop, mobile). Her work includes web design, graphic design, user experience, technical writing, copywriting, and video tutorials.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Oceanography with a focus on Biogeochemistry from Rutgers University. She has also taken classes at Eastern Michigan University and other courses in design history and theory, graphic design, web design, and marketing.
Amanda works at LimnoTech’s Corporate Headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
