Amanda Flynn serves a dual role as a Marketing Manager and an Environmental Scientist. Amanda combines three passions in her work – science, art, and communication.
Amanda is responsible for managing the LimnoTech website and social media accounts. She oversees company branding and messaging, develops marketing materials, supports business development efforts, and guides proposal processes and workflows. Amanda works on technical writing, copywriting, and content marketing. She develops content and creates design layouts for web articles, newsletters, fact sheets, and informational poster displays. She has served as a lead graphic designer for visual content created for science and marketing applications, including conceptual site models, figures, schematics, illustrations, infographics, posters, icons, logos, and advertisements.
Amanda’s environmental science work has focused on corporate watershed stewardship initiatives, including quantifying water quantity and quality benefits of watershed restoration activities; performing water risk assessments for agricultural products; developing water stewardship plans; reviewing and evaluating sustainable agriculture certifications and standards, and watershed stakeholder mapping. Amanda is also involved in decision support and science communication tool development on various platforms (website, desktop, mobile). Her work includes web design, graphic design, user experience, technical writing, copywriting, and video tutorials.
Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Central Michigan University and a Master of Science degree in Oceanography from Rutgers University. She has also taken classes at Eastern Michigan University and other courses in design history and theory, graphic design, web design, and marketing.
Amanda works at LimnoTech’s Corporate Headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
