Brendan Cousino, PE, is a civil/environmental engineer at LimnoTech. He has 16 years of professional experience in both the public sector and consulting. His current practice area is focused on management, restoration, and revitalization of water resources in urban environments, including work to improve water quality, aquatic ecology, and flood protection. Brendan’s work includes helping communities understand water quality impacts from their regulated stormwater, CSO, and treatment plant discharges and providing communities with regulatory compliance and permitting support. His work also involves designing and restoring urban waterways, including creating sustainable public spaces that help to reduce flood risks, provide natural recreation opportunities, and improve aquatic habitat.
Brendan is committed to helping his clients make informed management and design decisions using innovative environmental data collection and analyses, and numeric models. He has extensive experience in developing and applying complex watershed hydrology, river hydrodynamics, water quality, and sediment transport models. Brendan has a broad range of engineering experience, with projects including the design of municipal infrastructure systems, green infrastructure design, asset management, total maximum daily load assessments, watershed characterizations, sediment dredging and disposal, operations and maintenance planning, and capital project planning and budgeting.
