Dani Cohn joined LimnoTech in 2021, shortly after completing her Master of Science degree in Environmental Science at the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability (SEAS). Dani also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from SUNY College at Geneseo and is a Geographer, GIS specialist, and Environmental Scientist. Dani has a broad background in the physical and social sciences, ranging from physics, earth science, and atmospheric science to human geography, hand cartography, and environmental studies. While studying at SEAS, Dani’s passion for water was exemplified through their work on two research projects regarding the Great Lakes hydrologic cycle.
Since joining LimnoTech, Dani has worked on various projects, including identifying watersheds for water stewardship certification, creating maps and managing GIS data for many projects, and collecting wastewater samples to help trace COVID-19 outbreaks around Detroit as well as surface water samples to help monitor water quality in Michigan. Dani continues to work on projects encouraging the sustainable management of water resources and protecting human health and believes these efforts are making a positive difference in our world.
