Gregg Brill
Gregg Brill, PhD, is a Senior Environmental Scientist at LimnoTech, supporting corporate clients across multiple sectors with water stewardship strategy and target setting, nature-based solutions (NBS) program development, basin diagnostics, benefit accounting, and sustainability reporting. He brings over 15 years of experience in corporate sustainability, nature-based solutions, landscape restoration and conservation, economic water resilience, and multi-stakeholder engagement, having worked across the public and private sectors, with NGOs, and in academia.
Gregg is the lead author of the Biodiversity Benefit Accounting (BIOBA) and Benefit Accounting of Nature-Based Solutions for Watersheds guide and co-led the development of the NBS Benefits Explorer tool. He has also supported the development of the Freshwater methodology from SBTN and the Positive Water Impact guidance from the CEO Water Mandate and Water Resilience Coalition. His work has been presented at many international forums.
Gregg holds a PhD in Environmental and Geographical Science from the University of Cape Town, an MSc in Environmental Science from Stellenbosch University, and a BSc Honors in Environmental Science from Rhodes University. He has held postdoctoral research fellowships at the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and the University of Victoria, Canada.
Gregg supports LimnoTech’s Corporate Headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but works remotely from British Columbia, Canada.
