LimnoTech at WEFTEC 2025
September 25, 2025
LimnoTech will be attending WEFTEC 2025, the Water Environment Federation‘s 98th Annual Technical Exhibition and Conference, held in Chicago, Illinois. Known as the largest annual water quality exhibition in the world, WEFTEC brings together thousands of water professionals, researchers, technology innovators, and policymakers to exchange knowledge, showcase new solutions, and inspire collective action to address the most pressing water challenges of our time. Workshops and technical sessions will cover a range of topics, including the Circular Water Economy; Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience; Collection Systems, CSO and SSO Planning and Mitigation; Energy Production, Conservation, and Management; Nutrients; PFAS; Stormwater and Green Infrastructure; and Watershed Management, Water Quality, and Groundwater.
This year, Anouk Savineau and Craig Taylor are contributing to the program as workshop facilitators on Climate Adaptation, where they will talk about how to integrate Engineering with Nature principles and Nature-Based Solutions into restoration design, using the Trinity River in Dallas, Texas, as an example. Tim Dekker is speaking as part of the Circular Water Theater Session. He will discuss how water stewardship principles align with and advance the circular water economy, drawing on LimnoTech’s experience with corporate water stewardship activities. Their participation reflects both the depth of LimnoTech’s expertise and our ongoing commitment to addressing the complex and evolving issues facing our waters and communities.
The workshop and session details are below.
W16 A Climate Adaptation Workshop: Building a Resilient Future
Type: Workshop
Date/Time: Sunday, September 28, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time
Location: McCormick Place, Room S501a – Level 5
Workshop Chair: Nitin Katiyar (HDR Inc)
Workshop Facilitators: Mark Maimone (CDM Smith Inc), Rishab Mahajan (Geosyntec Consultants), Anouk Savineau (LimnoTech), Craig Taylor (LimnoTech), Debra Butler (American Society of Adaptation Professionals), John Phillips (Parametrix)
About: Communities nationwide are already experiencing the impacts of climate change, which is increasingly straining the resilience of utility systems. This workshop will equip participants with a methodology to assess the potential impacts of climate change, even those beyond their direct experience. By visualizing “what-if” scenarios, participants can explore and evaluate viable adaptation options to address both current and future climate challenges. The workshop will also showcase successful examples of climate adaptation measures.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, attendees will be able to: 1. Identify the risks due to climate change from various sources. 2. Identify the risks from climate change and where those risks come from. 3. Apply those risks to their own systems, determine the impacts from climate change on those systems, incorporate solutions and lessons learned to handle the increased flooding risks.
Water Stewardship and Circular Water Economy
